Hotel Restaurant Baenklialp - Engelberg

The views were awe-inspiring! But the bathroom door couldn't lock, a little awkward for my family 😅

the location turned out to be quiet and perfect, not far from train station and ski lifts, titlis glacier, and titlis.

Loved it! This hotel is situated a little above Engelberg- beautiful views!! Very friendly and helpful staff who speak English. And the restaraunt was amazing! Free parking so you can leave your car and walk everywhere, though it is a bit of a climb on the way up. We loved the balcony. Rooms are not fancy but are good size and nicely equipped. Definitely recommend!

Switzerland is just a very expensive place to visit overall, but that is not this hotel's fault. Their prices were comparable all over Engelberg.

It feels a little cheap to charge for parking when there's so much open space!!! A gravel path leading to the hotel might be challenging after a long journey!!! The heating at night disrupted sleep!!!

My stay was comfortable for active holidays. Neat and stylish units with own lockers, balcony plus a great view, and the staff were outstandingly accommodating. The location was marvellous and brilliant - short walk to the hill of Engelberg village/town and the ski lift.

Weak wifi signal in rooms, fine views and renovated comfortable rooms make it worthwhile 🙌.

We had to go through part of one of the restaurants to get to the lift up to our room.

Loved the cozy vibe and amazing views! The sauna was a refreshing escape after skiing.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were great - very well kept and plenty of storage. The breakfast was fantastic; far better than I have come to expect when breakfast is included in the room rate. It is definitely a family hotel, so if you don't want kids around, consider elsewhere. The view was great. The restaurant and bar very convenient and well managed.

The food was good, but really, really expensive. ie: 4.50 CHF for a bottle of Sprite for my sick brother. Also, we charged lift tickets to our room and felt they could have, and should have, refunded a day when my brother fell ill and we had to leave early. Instead we were told to get a Dr. note and take it to the station at the bottom of the lift. This isn't practical solution for the situation. I felt it was way of saying they at least gave us an option when in reality it wasn't really a viable option.

Everything went well. Lovely breakfast and location. Friendly personell, especially in the restaurant. Responded nicely to the lamp that fell down from the ceiling.

The room was too hot at arrival. Uncomfortable and unsympathetic energy usage.

Great welcome drink and bar area, but laundry services took too long to return.

We had a pleasant stay for active holidays.

The room was brand-new with balcony overlooking engelberg included. The food for breakfast was good. Location: the hotel was short walk to the cable car that goes to the top of the mountain for great views, the outskirts of town, and the mountain right across the town.
